Become a New.net Registrar!
The New.net Registrar program is designed to allow domain registrars, web hosts, ISPs, and other businesses to offer New.net domains for sale direct to the consumer. As a New.net Registrar you will interface directly with the New.net registry, taking advantage of wholesale pricing on New.net domains and maintaining control over your customer relationships.
What are the benefits of becoming a New.net Registrar?
Profit from our growth - In a short time New.net has grown in size and scope to become the leading market-based registry in the world. We will continue to expand through ISP partnerships and client downloads to grow our reach worldwide.
Generate recurring revenue - By selling New.net domains you can profit from domain name sales AND domain renewals.
Build Traffic and Site Usage - Users will return to your site time and again to manage their current domains and purchase new ones - each visit an opportunity to strengthen your relationship with your customer and offer other products and services.
Provide a Unique and Tailored Experience - New.net is releasing domain extensions tailored to the needs of a global marketplace, including an upcoming Internationalized Domain technology. By selling names that address the needs of your marketplace you can differentiate yourself from the competition.
What are some of the features of the New.net Registrar Program?
As a New.net Registrar you have end-to-end control over the domain purchase and management process:
Control over retail domain pricing, default DNS settings, and domain extension selection. As a New.net Registrar you are free to customize your domain sales catalog to the needs of your audience.
Control over the customer communications and site look and feel. All parts of the domain purchase process from searching to billing and renewal emails are completely controlled by you.
Full reporting and domain sales statistics. We provide a real-time reporting system to allow you to optimize your domain sales program.
What are some of the features of the New.net EPP Registry Platform?
The New.net Registry/Registrar platform is based upon the Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP). EPP provides a standard Internet domain name registration protocol for use between domain name registrars and domain name registries. EPP is the protocol used by the '.info' registry, so your company may already be familiar with the platform.
'Centralized' Whois - The New.net registry serves as repository for all New.net domain contact information. This frees the Registrar from the burden of maintaining a Whois for registrations processed at their site.
General-purpose protocol capable of sending thick data payloads
Increased transactional security
Who Should Become a New.net Registrar?
In order to become a New.net Registrar you will need to implement the New.net Registrar Toolkit on your site. The New.net Registrar Toolkit contains the software and instructions for implementing the EPP protocol used for communication between Registrar and Registry. This process requires a level of expertise and a resource commitment that may not be justified for some New.net partners. Businesses that expect to sell a limited number of domain names, or who do not have access to software development resources, would be better served by joining our affiliate program.
